-7/3/09: Received Home Study Documents binder, Eyes Wide Open workbook, and Adoption Planner binder.
-7/7/09: Home Study and Dossier info call
-Beginning of 8/09: Mailed in all of home study documents
-8/26/09: First meeting for our home study
-9/16/09: Second meeting for our home study
-10/5/09: Home study was sent to AGCI for review!
-10/19/09: Mailed our Dossier for review
-11/2/09: Waitlisted for boys 0-12 months! We're number 23!
-12/4/09: Number 20 on 0-12 mo. boys list
-12/8/09: USCIS appointment
-12/09: Received our FDL :)
-1/6/09: Number 18 on 0-12 mo. boys list
-2/5/10: Number 13 on 0-12 mo. boys list
-3/9/10: Number 10 on 0-12 mo. boys list
-3/24/10: OFFICIALLY changed our parameters from 0-12 mo. to 0-3.5 years + siblings + special needs
-4/8/10: Number 6 (but really 4) on 0-12 boys list
-4/21/10: REFERRAL for two brothers! "D" is 3.5 and "C" is 2.5. Both are BEAUTIFUL!
-4/22/10: Consult with international adoption specialist
-4/23/10: Received our placement package and completed our call with the Family Education Coordinator
-4/26/10: Mailed in our placement packet
-4/29/10: Next Steps call for court and travel
-5/4/10: We have a court date! May 25th
-5/18/10: Received our 3rd FDL reflecting our changes
-5/26/10: We PASSED court! We ARE a family of 4!
-6/7/10: Got tentative travel dates (pending negative TB tests) -- we'll be home with the boys within a month!
-6/21/10: Flew to AMS for a couple days before heading to Addis.
-6/27/10: We meet Derebe and Cherenet for the first time!
-7/1/10: The four of us fly out from Addis and arrive home 30 long hours later!
